Eldership Remembering Circle

A 3-week live gathering

The first public opening of this work in 19 years

For the past six months, I’ve been doing this work quietly.
In one-to-one conversations.
In small, intimate circles.
Away from the noise.

This is the first public opening of this work in 19 years.

Not because I’m launching something new,
but because this feels like the right moment to open the door.

We’re living through a season of change.
Things people relied on are no longer holding in the same way.

This space exists for that moment.

What this is

This is not a course in the usual sense.
It’s not about strategies, credentials, or performance.

It’s a remembering circle.

A place to reconnect with the part of you that knows how to hold others
without losing yourself.

A place to stand with more steadiness
in your family, your work, and your community.

To remember what eldership looks like
when it’s lived, not claimed.

The gathering

We’ll meet live on Zoom, once a week, for three weeks.
Each session is 90 minutes.

This is not pre-recorded content.
It’s a live, relational space.
Human.

I’ll be present in real time —
listening, speaking, and responding to what’s actually in the room.

There will be space to ask questions
and to reflect together.

How the space is held

To begin with, participants won’t automatically see each other on screen.

This isn’t about distance or control.
It’s a choice that protects and holds people as they arrive.

Speaking and visibility are welcomed
when you’re ready, not before.

At times, I may invite individuals or small groups
into conversation on screen — always by choice.

The emphasis of each session
will be shaped by the people who attend.

What we’ll explore

Across the three weeks, we’ll explore:

• what eldership actually means in modern life
• the difference between helping and holding
• how responsibility and power show up quietly in everyday roles
• how to stay present with fear, change, and transition
• how to hold others without burning out or shrinking yourself

There will be teaching.
Storytelling.
Silence.
Reflection.

This circle comes from lived experience, not just theory.
From scar knowledge, not just book knowledge.

You won’t be asked to perform or explain yourself.

Who this is for

This space is for people who feel they are being asked to hold more
and want to do that with clarity rather than exhaustion.

You don’t need to be a coach.
You don’t need a title.
You don’t need to have the answers.

If something in you recognises this work, that’s enough.

Who I am

For 29 years, I’ve worked with young people, families, and communities —
often in places where people feel stretched and fragile, carrying more than they should.

I’ve been known at different times as a youth worker, coach, facilitator, mentor, and leader.
Those words describe parts of the work, but they don’t fully name it.

Over time, I’ve come to understand what I do
less as a role and more as a way of showing up —
listening, witnessing, and helping people stay connected
to themselves and each other when things are uncertain.

That is what I mean by eldership.

In public and professional spaces, I’m known as Bob Singha.

In my family and community, I’ve been known by other names too.
Names like Baba point to responsibility —
to being someone others turn toward for steadiness, perspective, or care.

This circle grows out of those experiences.
